EVTA MEETING April 12, 2010

Attendance: Katie Snow, Brenda Chitwood, Jacquelyn Brennan, Shannon Nichols, Cassidy Bruce, Mary Lou Lovely, Mysti Lancaster, J.P. Vidoker     Evta Rules:

• Deadline to be published May 17, 2010
• Present rules to be approved at next meeting May 3rd

            ex:Scorecards must be presented by default time or opposing team can                     claim an forfeit

            ex:bathrooms must be accessible

New National USTA Role

• Adults may play in state playoffs on 2 USTA teams

Junior Programs

• 38 enrolled for spring
• need junior committee-skeleton to be presented at next meeting by Shannon
• suggested members- Russell Schmidt, Mark Nibbett, George Nelson, Karen Ruff, Wendy Ross, Heather Strickland
• one meeting per month

Marketing

• Flyers for Fall now needed at CCC and Dellinger
• Shannon to contact school coaches

Scholarship Money

• Must have application- Jr. Committee makes a recommendation  to board approval

Calendar- 2010, 2011

• Master must include Alta, USTA, Tournaments, School play, etc.
• JP will send Cassidy master calender for her to complete

EVTA Tournament

• Aug 27, 28, 29
• Katie to contact Richard Wynn to be corporate sponsor
•  Post on website

Website

• Katie will contact Jennifer Carter who has volunteered to help organize it. Corta and west GA sides are 2 excellent examples. She can contact Paige Miller at GA USTA for help.
• Jacquelyn volunteered to assist Jennifer
• All awards need to be posted on website

Budget

• Bank Balance $10,900

Future suggested projects

• Tear down gazebo(city will do tear down)- install concrete slab, roof, and tables- Jacquelyn will ask Ricky F. for quote
• Resurfacing Clearwater Street Courts- $2500 each- Katie will contact Court Makers
• Marketing Junior Program- Shannon to be present all expenses
• Paint backboards- J.P. maintenance request to city

Public Relations

• Bailey Snow will send newspaper info about team events, junior programs, etc. to be placed in free listing
• Mary Lou will send USTA tournaments pictures
• Constant Contact Programs- purchase when name change is complete

Other Business

• Dedication to Karen Ruff at Dellinger Wed 14 April at 12pm Reception Sun April 18, 1-3 PM at Riverwalk
