USTA Senior Mixed Doubles

The Senior Mixed Doubles league is set up identical to the Adult League and plays with the Adult Mixed Doubles program. The differences are the age requirements and cost. To be eligible to participate in this program, a player must maintain a membership to the United States Tennis Association and be a minimum of 50 years old. A 49 year old may participate as long as they turn 50 within the year of sign up. The cost to participate in this program is $18.00 plus the tennis link fee.

USTA Super Seniors

Life starts at age 60! Just ask anyone who participates in the Super Senior League. The level of enthusiasm the players demonstrate is a great example of the true meaning of tennis as a lifetime sport. Although the age requirement to participate in the Super Senior League is 60, many participants are in their late 70’s and a few are playing well into their 80’s.

Local team play is available in Men’s and Women’s 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 for the 60's division and Men's and Women's 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 for the 70's division, with
team matches consisting of three doubles matches. Players without a computer rating may self-rate themselves.

Winning local teams advance to a State Championship, with a chance of advancing to the Sectional Championship and on to the National Championships.

Come on, it’s never too late to play tennis!

Junior Team Tennis

In USTA Jr. Team Tennis, the team concept emphasizes fun, fitness, and friends.  The focus in this kind of play is on enjoying the exhilaration of exercise and refining the skills that make tennis fun for players at all ages and levels of competition.

Singles League

The Singles League program plays during the summer on Monday nights. Divisions are 3.5 and up and 3.5 and under for men and women. This league plays 8-12 weeks, depending on the number of entrants per division. Cost to play is $15.00 plus the tennis link fee.

 Challenge Ladder

Ladder Goals

Provide an effective means of arranging competitive matches. Establish a local ranking so players can measure their competitive tennis performance.

 Available Ladders

Ladders will be setup according to the demand for such ladders. Two of these will be totally open (all ages with any mix of men and women) singles and doubles.

 Ranking Method

The ranking will reflect the win / lose record against near opponents and will be adjusted when any player completes 3 or more matches.

 Comment: Most ladders fail.

I contend that ladders fail because they require the player to challenge another and setup their own matches. This requirement inhibits activity to the point of inactivity. To bypass this problem the player will only be required to keep an updated schedule of when (date & starting time) they can play. If a fit occurs I will set the matches and send e-mails (conformation required) to the players.

 Building the Ladders

Building the ladders will require time so we will proceed step by step.

 Step 1: E-mail the following to evtaladder@att.net

Enter your name, e-mail address, phone # , preferred ladder or ladders, some referance to skill level (Mens 3.5, Alta B4), home court, and a 2 weeks schedule of possible available playing times.

Step 2: Preliminary Matches: If a fit occurs, a match will be scheduled. Players must be aware that these preliminary matches might not be competitive.

Step 3: Establish Ladders: When it appears that there are enough players in a specific division, a ranked ladder will be generated using the preliminary matches as a reference.

Additional Information

More specific information will be forth coming. In the mean time you can call me Jack Myers at 770 387 2057 or e-mail at evtaladder@att.net.
